BOSTON, Mass., August 24, 2026 – Boston Firefighters IAFF Local 718 is proud to announce our endorsement of William Brownsberger in his campaign for re-election to serve as State Senator representing the Suffolk and Middlesex Districts.
Senator Brownsberger has demonstrated his commitment to issues directly impacting Firefighters and our families. Senator Brownsberger has been instrumental in supporting legislation that protects our members on crucial issues such as Occupational Cancer, survivor benefits, and implementing the findings of the Walsh / Kennedy Commission; legislation that addresses the tragic loss of two of our own.
As Firefighters, Boston Local 718 members have sworn an oath to protect the public that we are proud to serve. This commitment places our members in harm’s way on a daily basis, risking their safety, health, and lives. Given the nature of our profession, it is imperative that we receive the support and advocacy of elected officials; support and advocacy that Senator Brownsberger has proven his commitment to.
